Great food, family owned. Food quality is consistently good.
The food really good, but would not want to eat there. The place not really nice. But the food excellent. So great place for take out.
Great COVID precautions, the BEST sesame tofu in Raleigh, and great value for the portions. I love this place and always will
Really good Chinese food for a good price! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
I visited Bean Sprout Chinese restaurant a couple of times. Each visit was not the best! My last and final visit was tonight. The guy who waited on me was rude. I came in and greeted him and he didn’t respond. He acted like I wasn’t speaking to him. I told him the name for the order that I was picking up and he just handed me the food. After I paid for the food he DROPPED the receipt in a rude and nonchalant manner. That really rubbed me the wrong way. You’re suppose to treat your customers with respect. This restaurant will not be getting my business in the future.
I approach the counter with both slight hesitation and unbridled enthusiasm. A thin gentleman behind the counter with a noble-looking face greets me warmly. I look deep into his eyes as I greet him in response. The look in his pupils tells me volumes. It tells me that he is a man who knows the hidden secrets of this magical Chinese cuisine, secrets that I could never comprehend. It tells me that he wields MSG in much the same way that Bob Ross wields a fan brush. The look says to me, "I respect you as a customer, and as a man."In a moment of diminished clarity, I respond aloud, "You also are a man of honor," before realizing with alarm that the first sentence was never spoken aloud. It resided only within his pupils. Food was good. 5 Stars.
Wow! This is fantastic Chinese. I've been to quite a few just alright Chinese restaurants and if I were going off of looks probably would have passed this gem up. This is a small, unbecoming, restaurant with an un-updated interior but buy is it good. The General Tso's dishes are the best and they have hands down the best tofu I've had at a Chinese restaurant. Please check it out and be glad that you did!
Every Saturday, my mom used to take my sister and I to have lunch at Beansprout Restaurant after we went to Chinese school. The food here is the best Chinese takeout we’ve had and the owner is always nice to us. I have good memories there :) Highly recommend!
Great Chinese food. It's always fresh and made to order. If you come around lunchtime (before 3) you can get some of the most popular dishes like sesame or general Tso's chicken for around $6.29. The portions are always very generous almost overflowing the plate, so come hungry!
Great cheap Chinese food that doesn't taste cheap! The food came out hot, the flavor was great. Definitely not disappointed. There are nice vegetarian options as well. General Tso's tofu was crispy and flavorful. The egg drop soup was good as well. However, I would recommend avoiding the vegetable dumplings... Not so good.
Beansprout has been my favorite Chinese place for over a decade. The food is always hot and fresh and you can tell this is a family establishment that takes great pride in their work. The dining area is a bit run down, but never dirty. I think it adds to the overall charm. If I ever move away, I will miss this place. General Tso's tofu is to die for.
Beansprout is the better of the average american-chinese restaurants in Raleigh. Wide variety on the menu, polite staff and fast service.
Hands down the BEST chinese food in Raleigh. Thank you guys for your consistent quality and genuine smiles at the counter!I will drive 45 mins out of my way any day I crave chinese. The places closer to us cant even hold a candle.
I love love love this place! I haven't been since I graduated from Meredith but about to take a 4 hour road trip it's that good!
Very good and filling food! You definitely get a good amount of food what you pay for. I always have leftovers and so I save it for another meal (the dinner special in particular). We go there so often that the owner of the restaurant recognizes our voice and knows exactly what our order is going to be.
Wow so I went in to place an order, and it smelled like the sewage.. Very strong odor food seems to be okay but the inside is very foul
This place is pretty bomb. Ordered sesame beef and Boneless spare ribs. The sesame beef was crispy and delicious. The boneless ribs seemed to be made with pork belly, which is different that I'm used to. It was tender and delicious. Would recommend this place.
Although it appears to be a sleazy quick pick up and fast food joint, it is by one of the better tasting chinese restraunt in the triangle area. I ate at this restaurant daily while working for a company in the area near Blue Ridge Rd. As the saying goes, "Don't knock it till you try it."
Don't let the reviews fool you!!! This was my first time ever ordering from here. I always check out the reviews before trying any new place. I was excited to try this as who doesn't love a good Chinese takeout! Well let me just say unless you are craving deep fried breading don't bother! I got the General Tso's Chicken and Tofu. Both as you can see from the pictures are 90% breading I literally had to go through four pieces of the breading suppose to be chicken to even find a sliver of meat, the Tofu was same. I also got a side of sauteed veggies I will say they were decent, maybe this is a place just for vegetarians but if you're looking for meat go somewhere else.
The food is good, but the dining area is run down, i still enjoyed the meal, but will probably order to go on the next visit.
Best Chinese in Raleigh. Fresh and light.
Great food. Been the same great experience for years and years and years. Highly recommend for good quick cheap Chinese.
Ordered a couple chef specials and dumplings for takeout, it was sizeable delicious and hot, in temperature and spice. So I thought it was perfect! The restaurant itself is kind of a little hole in the wall, nothing really fancy. When I got there the prices for a dish were more than what they have on the online menu website($11), but $13.and some change is still cheap for the portion and quality you're getting. The menu online doesn't reflect the restaurant itself, so be prepared if you order from that instead. Overall the staff are very kind and the food is appetizing.
I’ve been eating here for years & never had I have always been satisfied. The food is so good & the staff are very friendly! & Sesame Tofu is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant :-)
